To my Angel, thank you for all that you do & for who you are. I love you more than words can describe. =~}

Thought:
Well I have thrown my heart onto this blog for the last 13 days. Many have read it and I pray that in some way it has touched hearts. I encourage you all to look for some way to make this Valentines Day the one to remember!!!! ;). Also remember it is not just a date but should be an all day event for love and smiles that never ends.... Remember life is an adventure for two to walk hand in hand taking in it ALL!

Day 12 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

Day 12
Wow, what a great day! I love nothing more than to spend an entire day with my dream girl! Sadly though came home to no internet :( So doing this quick post through my tried and true iPhone. Debbie and I were talking today about our first Valentines. I was also well reminded that she for sure she did a better job in the gift department that year ;) I once heard our pastor say that Debbie's dad taught him how to give.... I set back and think about my life and my wife and I would say I learned the same from her. TeAmo Angel!!!

Day 11 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

Day 11
What a wonderful day, got one of those "FYI we are leaving in a few minute" surprise lunch dates today!!!! What else can I say other than PERFECT!!!! Life is so Good =) Thank you Angel <3

What I really feel that I want to say today about my wife is this. Angel I love you greater than any words could possibly describe and will spend the rest of my life showing it. Instead of shouting from the tallest mountain, I will type it on the largest social network =) That's making the best of technologically!

Thought:
What is something out of the norm you have done to tell your love, I LOVE YOU? If you can't think of anything, then its time to create one of those memories. Come up with some out of the norm way to say I love you. In fact try it over the next 3 days! Remember a seed sown produces a harvest!!!!

Day 10 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

OK, better late that not at all....

Who's gotta dream? Everyone should be raising their hands right now.

I had shared in a past post that I felt like the nerdy guy that got the hot head cheerleader. My wife has been my greatest cheerleader. She is ALWAYS there to cheer me on and encourage me to move forward with my dreams.
Thank you Angel for being my cheerleader in life!!!!

Thought:
How are your cheer leading skills? Its impossible to say how many dreams have went to the way side because of lack of encouragement. Its up to us to be there in good times and bad to cheer our loves on to fulfill and succeed in their dreams. We should talk about our dreams with one another and be sure to never bash or tear them down. And if you would say right now I am not sure what their dream is, then ask! It's that simple....

Dreams are apart of the adventure!!!!!!

Day 8 & 9 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

OK so where did yesterday go???? MiAmor, I am so sorry for not posting yesterday BUT today's post is full of double love.....

Day 8 & 9
Just a few days ago I met a man and he I were talking. Actually I listened while he talked and one of the things he shared was that he and his wife had been married 68 years this month. We both talked about how much of a blessing it is to be with the love of your life for all those years and still counting!

I see my life with my Angel the very same, filled with God's Grace. I look forward to growing old together and making memories that will take a life time to create. I feel like my life is the greatest romance novel ever written being lived out each day. TeAmo Angel <3

Day 7 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

Day 7
Being random is something that has been very common since day 1 in our relationship. I am talking about a good random. Now I have to say, we have gotten better at it over the years and we also know more of what the other likes and dislikes. I have been picked up at the airport and taken on a special night out or such. I have been called and told, “let’s leave now” and off we go on a lunch date. (love those lunch dates!) I could go on and on with special very random events, not to mention gifts that Debbie has blessed me with over the years. One of our favorite things to do at lunch is go to a little place close by where you can have a quick quite lunch together. Of course I am sure it helps being her favorite store is in the same building =) Angel, thank you for all the years of random and I am so looking forward to the many, many more to come…

So where is some place your love likes to go? If you cant answer that question, then just ask and without advance notice take them there for some one on one time. And do this with nothing expected in return or should I say strings attached. Do it just because you love them! Make this a time of talking about the two of you. Nothing business related or anything stress related. Just make it a time to refresh and laugh together. It does not have to be anything expensive or take up a great deal of time. Just an off the cuff trip to ones favorite coffee shop or ice cream shop goes along ways and speaks words that we can’t express on our own at times.
Always remember, ADVENTURE…….

Day 6 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

Day 6
One thing that has been a blessing to me is ever since I met Debbie, is that she has always been willing to go and do and be apart of the things I enjoy. I love anything that goes fast, has a sharp edge or shots something just to name a few!!! It doesn’t matter if it is going to a movie she is really not interested in or walking around a store that would not even begin to interest her, she still does it. Another example is that I love to stop and visit fire stations when were traveling. We were driving in Alaska once I would say I stopped at almost every fire station along the way and she always had a smile on her face. Debbie and I have shared more fun in the years since we met and I know we have only scratched the surface on the fun we will have together. We are always talking about the places we are going to go and the things we want to try and go see and do. It seems that the more we do together the more I find other things I really enjoy doing! That’s the way it should be!!!!! Like I said in a past Blog, life is an adventure and together, hand and hand we are enjoying the adventure =) ****Lov u Angel =) ****

Thought:
How much time do you spend with the love of your life? I probably get to spend more time with my wife than most and would not change that for anything! We need to spend every second we can with the one we love growing and nurturing that love. We need to live every second like it is our last because if it ends up being that last one, you can’t rewind and fix what was lost. Time invested in each other is never wasted time and always yields a great return. A great rule I have found for any relationship is that it is not about one but always about the other and if each person would live by that rule everyone would have their needs taken care of. Just a little food for thought!

Day 5 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

Day 5
I hope that all of you know we serve a loving and forgiving God. He has forgiven you past, present & future once and for all! Yes I said future, every sin you have or will ever commit has been forgiven and the price been paid through the Blood of Jesus. This is not your license to sin but it is your foundation to be able to live in peace & victory forever more. God will never remind you of where you have fallen short. But why is it that we do this with the love of our life? I ask this because I am guilty, guilty, and guilty of this very thing. Now I have come along way from who I was when we first met but let me tell you my wife has had to have great patience with me over the years. Did I say great patience!!!!!! If you have not noticed yet, I married way above me and I am so glad I did =) I thank God everyday for a wife who is loving, forgiving & patient! You might think that I make her sound perfect, well she is in my eyes. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I would say perfection is also. Life is Good sums it up best!

Thought:
Many times in life we carry the luggage of yesterday and sometimes we have others helping us to also do the same. But every day is a new day with a fresh start. I would challenge each of you who read this to set down and think of any areas of unforgiveness you might be carrying for yourself and the one you love. If God has forgiven us then we have no excuse not to do the same. Every time I do a wedding for a couple and I get to the “better or worse till death due us part” I can’t help but wonder if they are serious. I myself took those words for what they say and nothing less. I really did not understand this until I gave my life to Christ and realized what He did for me. Maybe its time each one should check and see if this sounds like you and if it does, then clean the closet out now and forever more.

Final note; When this count down first got laid on my heart I was not sure how to start or what to say. But it did not take me long to realize that this was part of my Valentine’s gift to my wife, my best friend, my partner in life & ministry but also maybe a light in a dark place for someone else. Debbie and I are like any other couple with the exception that we have yielded everything to Christ and made Him the center and that is why I can honestly say everything that I say here.

Day 4 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

Are we having fun yet?
When I set back and look at my life since meeting Debbie I can say yes, I am! I had to realize that having fun is a mind set or should I say an attitude! There has been opportunity for the fun to end and oh have I fleshed at times but I can always count on my wife to bring me back to center. Sometimes I go kicking & screaming but trust me at some point I always go =) I got really good early on in our marriage with saying "I'm sorry". I remember our pastor in Oklahoma Pastor Jerry Zirkle saying that he who says sorry first wins and I like to win even if it is just a win inside me! My life is fun and every day is a new adventure walking hand and hand with my best friend! Thank you Angel for the past years of adventure and I am looking so forward to the many more to come!

Thought:
If you feel like life has lost its adventure then its time to re-charter a new course of adventure. Together make a list of things each enjoys doing or would like to do and start making plans from that list. As you look at the list focus more on the others likes and how you can make those come to pass. We need to make every day count and live it with no regret.

Always remember, LIFE IS GOOD!!!!

Day 3 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

Ever since Debbie and I first met and started our relationship together I have keep I would say pretty much every letter/note she has given me. I have multiple boxes in my closet. I also carry a large number of pictures in my phone and laptop of her and her and I . I find myself going back time to time to and reading those notes and looking at pictures from then to now. I look at pictures of beautiful young lady and look at me and wonder how did I get this girl? I told her many times I feel like the school nerd that ended up with head cheerleader =) Life has thrown some hard balls at us but I have found that next to God my wife brings a joy to my life that keeps me stable like an anchor. That’s just the way it should be! So today I want to give a BIG, HUGE THANK YOU to my wife for everything! I say everything because I don’t have time to start the list that would take me the rest of my life to complete of all she has done for me. Angel I love you!
Thought:
What would you do? Have you ever watched a movie where someone goes to sleep and wakes up or enters a place and leaves it only to enter into a new life? I remember a movie I watched once about a man who went to sleep a very wealthy man with all the toys only to wake up with a wife, children and a station wagon. From there he basically went from a point of total and complete panic to a place of peace and love for his new family not interested at all about going back to what was. That is some what my life in reverse. (I went from having nothing one day to having everything.) You know at some point I think all will realize (I hope) that the greatest gift God can give next to Jesus is a partner to walk through life with hand in hand. Someone who has your back no matter what and will always be there no matter what. Now to some that might sound like what they have and to others it might not. If not, I would challenge you to see what you are sowing into your love life. Love is not about what I get but instead about what I can give with NO strings attached! NONE, NOTTA!!!! Love with no strings attached is the greatest kind of love.
Always remember it’s never too late for a fresh start and a new beginning. Maybe think of something today you could do for your love that you have not done in a while. Look for ways to go out of your way to bless them and show them how much you love them!

Day 2 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

Day 2 -
How many still remember the first time your eyes saw the one? Or that very first kiss!! WOW, I do! Like it was yesterday. I can still tell you what she was wearing. (wow, moving on now!!!!) She opened the door to her apartment and it was LUST at first site =) But soon it became love and I knew she was the one. After I life full of bad decisions I could now see the right one standing in front of me. My life turned around the day I met Debbie and I have not missed the old Keith ever since. Not saying I have lived life perfect, but thank God for His Grace and the love of a Proverbs 31 woman. Life is Good!!!! I get up everyday of my life married to my dream girl. God said "I will do exceedingly, abundantly above all you could ever ask or think" and He did that in my wife. Thank you Lord!

Thought:
If today things seem like the flame has been blown out and the love and romance seem gone. Then think back to a time when you just could not spend enough time with that one. When you were counting the seconds until you get to see them once again. Just thinking about getting that next kiss made your heart beat faster. What was it that gave you that feeling? Just know it is still there, sometimes we just get so familiar with our love and we loss site of those things, but they are still there. Just open your eyes and truly look past yourself. We can be the greatest road block in our own lives. Ask your one, what can I do to make you feel more loved, more wanted, more appreciated? Ask them, in what way can I do a better job of making you happy. And then be ready to hear, receive and make change! You can't get back the lost days but you can make the days from this point forward truly heaven on earth!

My wife is a gift from God just as your love is also. Never let a an opportunity for a kiss, a hug and the moment to say I love you slip by. Take full advantage of every second of life you have been blessed with because you can't get it back!

Day 1 of my 14 day count down to Valentine's Day

Well to all those in love, its only 14 days until Valentines Day. So for many, this might be 14 days of reminders :) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ignore any miss spellings and other such things!!!!

Day 1
This Valentine I wanted to do something out of the norm. I wanted to share my love for my wife with the world this year and also try and inspire some new thoughts to whoever is reading. I lived the first part of my life making most all mistakes a man could make and I think I made up a few new ones. But some how one day something happened or should I say someone happened. I met a young lady that changed my life forever. I have been truly blessed in this life with wonderful wife. She is beautiful in every way possible! We all know that nothing is perfect because we are all human and we make mistakes (some more than others!!!!) but the beauty of being with the one you love is how we look past them. My wife has had to look past a lot :) I wonder how many wives just said AMEN! :) I want to encourage everyone in a relationship to take a step back and imagine your life without that person. As for me, my life would be empty. She is the light in my day second to only my Lord and Savior. So for this first reminder, take an inventory of your life being focused on one thing. The one you love and how you can increase the love in your relationship!

Thought:
The word LOVE is a word that during this time of year we hear a lot and see even more. Its interesting to me how truly powerful that word is. I love to hear my wife tell me she loves me. When she says it, it has a power that makes things just seem right. John 3:16 tells us that God loved us so much that He sent Jesus. Throughout history we have seen love move mountains and destroy walls. Just think about it!
